Before becoming Master's Programme Director at Hyper Island, Peachy capped her 25-year career in marketing communications as Ogilvy & Mather Philippines' Chief Executive. 


She assumed many roles over the years --  Executive Creative Director (Advertising, CRM, Action, Design and Interactive) as well Regional Creative Director for Pantene ASEAN, ANZ, India, and Knorr across Asia. 


Peachy shifted gears and became Chief Strategist driving cross-discipline integration prior to navigating the largest agency discipline through its digital transformation as Managing Director for Advertising.


Academia called and she stood as Senior Industry Fellow at the De La Salle University College of St. Benilde and Professorial Lecturer at the University of the Philippines.


She was a consultant and trainer for the Philippine government, and corporations like CITI, AXA, Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Microsoft, Wunderman, NuWorks among other digital and traditional agencies.

YENG WAI LEONG

As Master's Programme Director, Yeng Wai has returned to the place that kickstarted his personal journey of transformation. A lifelong learner with a wide-ranging and eclectic mix of interests, he continues to experiment at the intersection of human + digital + behavioural sciences, and is a firm believer in and practitioner of iterative learning by doing.


Yeng Wai began his career as an educator in the Singapore Ministry of Education. He cycled through different stops as lecturer, researcher, and leader, and dabbled in digital tools and projects before tapping out to pursue the Hyper Island Masters in Digital Management. 


His transformation journey has since gifted him with varied opportunities and experiences from leading product management and development at a HRTech start-up, to consulting on digital transformation and innovation with a global non-profit, to prototyping data-driven dashboards at an award-winning cultural institution.

PAVITER SINGH

Head of Programmes

Paviter is a developer at heart who has been working within the digital realm for the past 20 years. From developing sound algorithms for the web to designing video games, he has worked on multiple platforms and roles within digital. 


Paviter is an experienced facilitator who is passionate about education. As the Head of Courses for Asia, Paviter designs and develops new learning formats in areas such as UX, Data, Growth Hacking, Agile and Digital Technologies.

When he is not, he runs ultramarathons to get out of his comfort zone.

DIVYA PARMAR

Divya is a client partner with a passion for improving ways of working. Her love for learning brought her to Hyper Island after spending 5 years in learning and development, managing leadership trainings programme where she worked with clients from various industries – FMCG, banking, insurance, advertising etc. 

She moved to Singapore in 2011 with her husband and has worked with DBS, Credit Suisse and Bridge Partnership.


Divya has over 10 years’ of experience in managing projects mainly in the banking industry, been a part of variety of projects including training, transformation, IT, process improvement and standardization. 

In her free time she is a co-curator with TEDxSingapore, curate talks for Singapore community and bring ideas worth spreading to them. She also runs an initiative called Women In Asia, a community showcasing Asian perspectives.

Echo Han

Echo has lived and worked in China, India, UK, Taiwan, Indonesia and now Singapore as an education start-up founder, political negotiator and project manager at technology companies. 


A believer in education and continued learning, Echo joined Hyper Island as a Master’s student in 2018. The Island helped to find confidence in learning quickly, across industries and using technology to improve processes, services and transform businesses.

At Hyper Island, she works with clients to ensure the quality of their learners’ experiences. 

In her role, she also works on projects to improve Hyper Island’s work processes and run experiments to bring new and innovative education experiences to more learners in Asia. 


In her free time, she loves to read recipes and occasionally cook what she learnt. She is also a trained classical piano, oboe and Suona player, though her only audience being her husband and two children for the moment. 

KAT MALLILLIN

Kat Mallillin is an innovative leader at the forefront of design, education, and entrepreneurship. As a Creative Entrepreneur, she has spent years honing her skill set and knowledge, providing end to end strategic design and marketing services for notable local and international brands. 

A Chevening Awards Scholar, Kat earned her MSc in Managing Innovation in Creative Organisations from Loughborough University London in 2022. With a commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation, creativity, and education, Kat continues to channel her passion and expertise into academia as a Programme Manager at the Hyper Island Institute of Higher Education.

Prior to her tenure at Hyper Island, Kat held the position of Programme Director for the Innovation and Creative Entrepreneurship Programme at Thames International Business School. During her time there, she successfully spearheaded high-profile projects, including the Philippine Creative City Playbook in collaboration with the Department of Trade and Industry and the “Creative AGE for SDGS: Accelerating Growth for Creative MSMEs in the Philippines” with the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs for the support of the Sustainable Development Goals.

TQ ANTIQUENO

Marketing Programme Manager

As Marketing Programme Manager at Hyper Island APAC, his goal is to create your story with you and your team.

TQ is a Design Thinking and Service Design leader and strategist. With almost 20 years experience in different facets of design, he has shaped himself to be transdisciplinary.

He is a graphic designer, illustrator, college professor, professional trainer, learning experience designer, industrial designer, researcher, and is currently a Lead of the Transformation Experience Design team of Sun Life of Canada Philippines.

His ability to move between fields and industries allows him to see problems from unconventional angles, and think of solutions from unusual places. This transdisciplinary expertise enabled him to write the country’s first Transmedia Storytelling framework and learning module; which he applies as his primary framework in developing solutions for complex problems.

Carla Laus

Carla is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in the advertising industry, specializing in business development, strategic thinking, and creative campaign development.

Her career began at Ace Saatchi & Saatchi, managing Nestlé, followed by Ogilvy where she worked on Unilever Pond's and Chivas Regal, honing her brand-building and strategic skills.

In 2006, she moved to Ogilvy Vietnam and led brands such as Unilever Pond's, Nestlé Milo, Coca-Cola, and others spanning diverse industries, further expanding her international perspective.She was back in Manila in 2009  as PR, Wine Manager & Founder of Ninyo Fusion Cuisine, writer for Monday Magazine, volunteer for Gawad Kalinga, and singer/ songwriter for Marshas band.In 2011, Carla was back in Advertising.  Her career highlights included roles as Group Account Director, Dove Country Lead and later Senior Business Director/ Unilever Beauty & Wellbeing and Unilever Personal Care Lead at Ogilvy Philippines where she spearheaded a range of initiatives that demonstrated her ability to drive growth and deliver results.  Her strategic acumen and leadership skills were instrumental in winning multiple international and local accounts and awards, further solidifying her reputation as a top industry professional.

Ken Johari

Finance Manager

Ken is Hyper Island Asia’s Finance Manager and Data Protection Officer. With an acute focus towards transformation and growth of the business, he manages all areas of accounting and finance (including commercial finance), people operation and business compliance matters. At Hyper Island, he has successfully implemented new systems in accounting, expense claim, time reporting, profitability dashboards for effectiveness in decision making across teams.


Ken has worked in a global creative agency, auditing firm and manufacturing, being well-versed in Finance, Management Accounting, Auditing and Administration. He is a certified ACCA Chartered accountant and a Bachelor of Science (Applied Accounting) graduate from Oxford Brookes University. 


A continuous learner, he has diversified his skills by completing multiple of professional programmes such as Stock Value Investing, Making Investments Work, Singapore Contract Law, PDPA (Personal Data Protection Act), Cyber Security Practices, etc.


He is on the look-out for the next learning opportunity to help transform and improve the lives of the people around him.

Zainon Samsudin

MA Student Administration & Office Manager

Zai, affectionately known as “Campus Mama”, is Hyper Island Asia’s Student Admissions and Office Manager. With over 18 years of experience in education, she manages the Hyper Island’s campus facilities, resourcing, administration and the Master of Arts (Digital management) students admission process. 


Outside of work, Zai engages with off-roading. The constancy of having to navigate over rocks and through mud pits has given her greater control and connection with her vehicle’s performance and with the road. This mirrors her work life - driven by teamwork, perseverance and determination, together with improvisation and sharing of ideas within the team. 


Prior to Hyper Island, Zai was supporting the administration of other higher education institutions such as Nanyang Technological University (Nanyang Business School), SIM Global Education and PSB Academy.

PEI YI FU

Assistant Manager (Finance & Admin)

Peiyi deals with numbers and people on a daily basis. As Assistant Manager (Finance & Admin), she supports Finance, Administration and People Operations, and is responsible for the financial reporting, inter company billing and payments. She also assists in student registrations and administrations matters, and is on the constant lookout for improvements in processes and workflows.


Peiyi prior experience include finance and accounting for a global digital marketing agency, and is a business graduate of SIM-RMIT, majoring in Economics and Finance. 


Peiyi enjoys cycling and solving puzzles, and as a mother of young children, she instills a culture of play through the creation of fun-loving activities.

Ted has a wealth of experience in helping companies navigate the ever-changing business landscape. He has played a key role in setting up Fjord studio in Southeast Asia for Accenture and Sapient Nitro in Singapore. Ted is also a seasoned entrepreneur, having founded his own firm Encouraging Behaviour and co-founded Brilliant Basics, which was later acquired by Infosys.
